Confirmed dates and visitor details

Indy RV Expo is scheduled January 2, 2027 through January 10, 2027 at Indiana State Fairgrounds — West Pavilion in Indianapolis, IN. All listed times are local Eastern time. Published hours: Jan 2 and 9: 10am–8pm; Jan 3 and 10: 11am–5pm; Jan 6–8: 1pm–8pm. CLOSED Jan 4–5. Recheck the official event information before departure. This guide uses public dates and makes no claim of firsthand attendance.

The show is closed January 4, 2027, January 5, 2027. Choose an open date block when making travel plans or saving a calendar entry.

A second visit can answer a different question from the first. The opening walk might help you discover what you actually like; a return can test whether that preference survives a closer look. Indianapolis has separate open blocks, so treat the break as review time if a return fits your schedule. Confirm ticket validity rather than assuming one purchase covers both visits.

Give each visit a purpose

On the first visit, concentrate on orientation. Identify the kinds of vehicles that match the trips you want and record their model names before taking interior photographs. Do not try to collect every brochure. Keep one page with a few promising layouts and the reasons each interests you. Ask which displayed options differ from the basic version so your notes refer to a recognizable configuration.

Before leaving, choose a question that could eliminate each contender. Perhaps the bed conversion involves more lifting than you want, the storage is awkward with your equipment aboard, or the dealer’s service arrangement does not fit where you live. Write the question clearly enough that another person could understand why it matters. An attractive lounge should not drown out a practical problem.

Use the days between

At home, match photographs with notes and find the relevant manufacturer information. Measure the equipment or household space behind any unresolved concern. Ask your travel partner to review the shortlist independently before discussing it together. Differences often reveal assumptions that were never spoken aloud, such as how often someone expects to cook indoors or use a separate work area.

Contact a representative ahead of a return only if a specific demonstration or document is needed. Ask whether the exact displayed unit is expected to remain available for inspection, without treating an answer as a guarantee. Keep the appointment details with the model information so the second visit starts with the right person and the right question.

Return to verify, then leave with a record

Follow the same ordinary routine inside each remaining vehicle: sit, move through the passage, check storage access, and ask permission to try the relevant conversion. Request written information for specifications or transaction terms. Record an answer as confirmed only when you have enough detail to check it later; separate it from a salesperson’s estimate or your own impression.

The second visit does not need to end with a purchase. Its purpose is to close gaps in your understanding. Keep a dated list of what changed between visits, what remains unresolved, and which alternatives you ruled out. That is useful progress even if the best decision is to keep researching.

For a wider itinerary, explore our IN campground directory as a statewide starting point. These listings do not establish nearby show lodging, current availability, or suitability for your rig. Check the exact location and operator details before reserving.
